I hit a wall with Honda Canada. My 2017 Pilot has a problem with the AC since last summer. It just dies after a few minutes of driving. I paid 3 times for diagnosis at 2 different dealerships, and they cannot find the problem.
I contacted Honda Canada and they sent me back to dealership. Same dealership where a comprehensive test was done just a few weeks ago. To my surprise, they wanted to charge me again (the 4th time!!!) for the same diagnosis/test. I refused and left.

I emailed Honda and they say that I need to pay for the diagnosis. It makes no sense to pay for the same test 4 times! They have the invoices with descriptions of all the tests and diagnostics done, and today would have been the same tests.

Who can I contact (Canada)? Like is there a ministry or any office that deals with complains against car manufacturers?

Are you still under the Honda warranty? They get you with the diagnostic fees sometimes but I would say if this is a recurring problem, the diagnostic fee should be waived in your case, because they did not repair the problem last time. There should also have been some guarantee on the repairs done a few weeks earlier by the dealership. If you don't have any luck at the same dealership, you could file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

I don't have warranty as I exceeded the mileage (even last year when the car was only 2.5 years).
And they didn't do any repairs, since they couldn't find the problem.
Not sure that BBB is good for this matter, it's more for small businesses. I think there should be a regulator of some type for those huge companies.

Good luck. Honda Canada won't be much help. Like others have said, they'll just keep referring you back to your dealer. They are pros at this.

My beef is with Honda Canada. They are shaking me off.
Honda (dealer and company) takes their 10 star rating system very seriously and they enthusiastically welcome it. However, if you go to them with anything less, their enthusiasm wanes significantly. They retreat to the familiar script of pushing you off to their dealer network.

Go give the dealer/HONDA a detailed. terrible review on about 3 major Review web-sites, like YELP for example.
Then post your issues on a few Honda vehicles sites
Next, send Honda/dealer an email with the links to all the reviews.

Show them that you mean business, serious business.

I do my best to bring awareness, to help others see patterns, share experiences and answer questions. If it makes people question, I've done my job. I was once a Honda fanboy so I understand the psychology.

Ever try going to an A/C specialist. Dealers are not the brightest bulbs,
Looks like you're most likely going to pay for it anyway, so get an A/C specialist to look at it/ do it. They'll indeed probably be more competent than the dealer and assuredly less expensive.
