Just got a 2021 Pilot and it has the paddle shifters to manually change gears. My wife keeps hitting them by accident (on her car the radio controls are in the same place). Is there a way to deactivate them so they do not do anything at all until activated again?

I am not debating the usefulness of the paddle shifters or manually changing gears, I just want to know if they can be turned off to render the paddles inert. I could not find the answer elsewhere so I apologize if I missed it.

Thank you.

I don't recall seeing the option in the settings menu of the Infotainment. Have you checked there?

In fairness I've bumped them a few times and gotten annoyed that I stretched a gear.... did enjoy the sound of v-tec though.

I have the same problem on my 2016. I grab them all the time by accident, I’m actually afraid I’m going to tear my transmission up. The first couple of times I had to pull over because I did not know how to get them back to normal. I also would love to know how to actually disable this feature. I know it’s a great feature for towing, but that is a rare thing not an every day driving situation for me.
