Dealership informed me that the coil on plug #4 is miss firing. They have switched it out and it still miss fires. $1300 to strip it down to see what the problem is or $4200 for a new motor. Vehicle only has 134000 miles. What makes it worse is that I’m out of town on vacation.

What was the cause for you bringing the vehicle to them in the first place? Was it running rough? check engine light on? if the check engine light was on did they tell you what codes were read?

#4 can be problematic with spark plug fouling.
I would not let them tear into it. When I hear engine replacement talk, I'd run.
If it's not drivable, I'd pay a tow truck to get it home 1st and rent.
Yes, need the engine codes.
