Well, I just ordered the Cyber truck a couple of days ago and if Tesla is telling the truth about having over a million pre-orders, I will get my order somewhere around mid-2025 to 2026 at which time, I would've already paid for both my cars or I would've opted for other EV pick up brands such as Rivian, Lordstown or even Ford.:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

I'm sorry, but I am completely against Tesla's build quality, design decisions (like a yoke for a steering wheel among many others), business practices (how they treat the media, customers and safety agencies).

Also, IMO, this thing is the most horrendously styled vehicle I've ever seen.

Now, if I had $75k or more I'd be preordering either a Rivian or a Bollinger. The Rivian seems to be the perfect "next step" from a normal car to an EV. Everything familiar and easy to use. The Bollinger just has that Willy's/Defender/FJ60 cool look. I also like the Atlas.
Everyone's got there opinion and you're definitely entitled to that (y) , I'm actually good with it. Some people don't like GM, some don't like Kia etc. Real story behind me getting another Pilot was that I could not wait for my Model Y to arrive. I ordered it in May and I was slated for delivery first week of November; knowing Tesla, they could've delivered it 2 weeks earlier but as you are all familiar with, my wife's 2010 Pilot was totaled and I also have my own daily driver aside from my toy which is my avatar here. Long story short, we needed a daily driver for the boss and quick (can't wait the 2 months backlog on the Model Y) so we bought a car that we are all to familiar with - the new Pilot. Cancelled my order because we just cannot afford 3 car notes. And since the Cybertruck is years away...figured why not get in line for one. I can cancel it anytime and my $100 pre-order fee is refundable...for now he he he.

A million pre orders funded by deposits is a nice development fund. There are two Teslas on my street, one does fine, the other has constant suspension and steering failures. Hopefully the truck will be tougher. I can't see the pricing staying as low as it is today on the website.
Don't think so either seeing as Tesla raise the price again on the Model 3 and the Model Y by a thousand. If I hadn't cancelled Model Y order, I would've already made $3,000 even before taking delivery.:LOL:

No, you're supposed to lambaste me for my opinion, that's the way forums work!:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

So, my pressing questions (so I can get deep into the mind of someone who owns a Viper but wants a Cybertruck)... Why a Cybertruck over an Atlis, Rivian or Bollinger? Or even a Lightning, Hummer pickup or the upcoming Silverado or Ram EV?
 why? I really don't know. Guess, I am insecure and needed the attention from people (good or bad:ROFLMAO: or I never outgrew "MadMax" (Mel Gibson version) ). Rivian seems like the most viable option if I were to choose between those manufacturers you mentioned. Bollinger is just too much money for me. Believe it or not, I bought my Viper used (15k on the clock) when I got it 12 years ago, so I got it at a pretty good deal, less than a fully loaded Honda Accord or Camry during those times. And like I said, the Viper certainly got the attention (mostly good:giggle:).But IMHO, Tesla really set the gold standard as far technology goes with EV's, of course other manufacturers will eventually catch up. Really though by the time they set my delivery date, it'll probably be 2025 0r 2026 unless they plan on producing 1 million CT's in 2023. Then I'll be more than likely to rethink buying the CT, because if they rush building the vehicle, they will seriously have even more build quality issues than they have now.
