Hey guys,

My dad owns a sheet metal/machining shop. We've just started to make auto accessories as a side hobby. Our main focus is aeronautics and government jobs.

anyways heres a pic of a hummer h2 gas cap we made for a local shop.

what accessories would you guys want to see for the PILOT.

By the way, I am a pilot owner, Silver EX-L with RES :)

I could make anything from license plates holder made from polished aluminum with embossed lettering, to running boards.

give me some ideas. thanks

How about something practical, like underbody skid plates to protect delicate innards in our semi-offroad forays?

How about a custom grille? Check out http://www.stullindustries.com They make custom grilles for GM and Ford, but do not plan to make anything for the Pilot.

Also, how about bumper rails for the roof?

  1. Who would be interested in a billet grill??

If there is enough interest, I will talk to my engineer about it.

You know what... a billet grille shold be really easy...

But you know that we will probably lose the honda emblem in the middle...

i will use my pilot as a test car - it should take about 3 weeks to make.

what price point should i shoot for?

Depends on the material. Are we talking SS?

Stainless Steel Industrial 303/304 would probably be the best choice..

Regular steel rusts and titanium is too expensive

Sounds GREAT.

Here's an example of a Ford F-150 billet grill with AND without the emblem.

and here's another example

with a bolder look

eBay has a lot of aftermarket billets - which should be a good basis for estimating a market driven price point.

Where's our photoshop pro?
