Hello! I purchased a 2017 pilot EX-L brand new last year and it now has 10,000 miles on it. I recently noticed a faint click when lightly accelerating, associated with a gear shift at about 20 mph. Don’t notice it when accelerating more aggressively. I took it in and the dealership said it is the shift solenoid and this is a normal characteristic of the vehicle and that they can hear it in other pilots. I’m skeptical because I just noticed it and I’m pretty OCD. Anyone else experiencing this in their new pilots? Wondering if I need a second opinion.

Spoke to Honda corporate today. They said that if the mechanic decided the clicking noise on acceleration is normal then it is. They can’t confirm or deny it’s a characteristic of the vehicle. I can tell you I’m not buying another one of these Pilots. Trim has peeled off in multiple spots and “normal” clicking noise on a year old vehicle? Poor quality control...
