Hi,

Honda Pilot 2008 with 175xxx miles.

It died on the highway, and I could not start it back; I turn the key, it clicks one time, and that's it. The car will not crank.
Battery is fairly new, and I tried to jump the car as well; it did not work.
Had someone replace the starter, but that did not work as well. He put the car in N and tried to turn the engine, said he was not able to. Not sure if he could not turn , or the engine is done for. I put the old starter back.
Timing belt was replaced about 50k miles ago by an independent shop.
I checked the fuses, they look OK.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,
AK

Can you turn the headlights on?Any power to the radio and the dome lights? Make sure battery posts are clean. Connections are tight. What's the condition of the battery cable? Thanks.

Jump the starter from the battery. If it turns, it is the bad relay. If it does not, it is the bad starter motor.
