I seem to remember having read that the phone cradle is one of those that convert your cell phone into a speaker phone. Does anyone know if this feature is availale from factory or is it an add-on accessory?

Either way, does anyone know what cell phone model it takes (for speaker phone, of course)? It seems like a Nokia but can't tell which model.

I'm only asking because I'm in the process of ordering a cell phone.

Well it would be nice but the cradle (from what I have read) will hold the phone and that is about it. You have to think for the system to be able to be a speaker phone there would have to be multiple connections for the different types of phones. The phone plugs are not all the same.

I looked at one this morning! There's just a little holder in the middle console with a place for your phone to slide down into. Beside the base is a power plug for your car charger. Unless I have my hands-free cord plugged into my phone, I'll end up dragging the charger cord up through the holder.

My phone doesn't fit

Sure sign that you need to update your cell phone: When it's too long to fit in the new Pilot phone cradle.

When plugged into its charger, the plug causes it to stick out the top of the cradle, so I can't close it. Not too neat. Will have to get a smaller phone -- it's time anyway...

Anyone recommend a phone that fits perfectly?

I'm waiting for PanaVise to make a mount for the Pilot. It is similar to the ProFit mounts but it seems that PanaVise is quicker at launching new models.

In my S2000, space is very limited and I did not want any holes so I went with the PanaVise mount. Works extremely well too!

A friend of ours has an MDX and I ordered a PanaVise mount for them, they love it. I'll see if I can get pictures soon of that install.

I work with AT&T Wireless, so when it is available, I will let you all know and we can set up a buy at cost or something!

For the time being, here's a pic of the PanaVise mount in my car.

BTW, my wife has a Nokia 3360 and it fits very well in the built in cradle.
