Hey all, The cd player in my wifes pilot has not been working for a while.
Before I go and replace it with an aftermarket unit, I figured I'd ask if there are any standard problems with these CD Players or easy fixes that the community knows about.

Thanks in advance!

Assuming you've checked the fuse. By "not been working," could you provide some more specific information? The more specific and detailed, the greater the chance someone can help.

IMO the head unit is 13-18 yr old and probably not worth fixing. Check out the Crutchfield website for simple to advanced head unit replacement. Crutchfield is well known for supplying good instructions, trim panels and wire harness adapters to bring the old Pilot new advanced audio tech or old school cassette/CDs.

Thanks for the response. That was my thought too. But I figured I would check if there was a simple & easy fix. After searching, there are a number of "cd player not working" posts on here but none of them have any resolution. I guess that answers my question... New stereo it is...
