We just replaced the neutral safety switch in our 2006 Pilot Ex. We tried to start the vehicle and the dash lights came on but the car would not crank at all. We noticed that the p does not illuminate when in the start position like it does in our 05. We put the old one back in and tried to start it again with no luck. If anyone has anything to try please let us know Thanks.

Battery was disconnected, We bought another one and followed the instructions in that pdf, and it still will not start. If anyone has any other ideas please let us know.

It doesn't crank or click. We have tried starting it in neutral and park, but the gear selector on the cluster does not show that it is in any gear and the reverse lights do not come on.

Also, it will not let us take the key out of the ignition until the battery is disconnected after trying to start it.

If the gears do not light up correctly, especially park/neutral you either don't have it adjusted correctly or you have a different issue. Have someone watch the park indicator while you adjust the switch, once you have park correct, then check neutral. Adjust slightly if needed for neutral to also be correct.

We have done that with all 3 switches and none of the lights came on except drive. It illuminated for the first couple seconds after the key was turned but the vehicle never started.

Did any of the wires on the harness break? Are the electrical connections oxidized/corroded? Clean them off if they are.
