Copperpoppy I'm not sure exactly where you live, I'm guessing Flagstaff or it's vicinity.
My wife and I have been wondering how flagstaff has survived for the past 5 years without any real snowfall. I know it really blooms when snowbowl opens and skiers flock to flagstaff, but with such little snowfall I would expect snow related businesses to have gone bankrupt a few years ago. As far as the Pilot, I would like to try it on snowy roads, but it might be a while before it happens.
Here in Phoenix we haven't had a good monsoon for about 5 years, just like the lack of snowfall in Flagstaff. Sure we occasionally will have a decent storm pass through, but not like it used to be. I've noticed all the outlying lakes have been drying up. (My wife and I enjoy fishing and camping at hese lakes.) I've been here since 1985 and have seen some really hard rain here, but lately nothing.
I hope it's just a cycle and we are just in the low end of it. It's sad to see the forests drying up and the lakes evaporating.
