Copperpoppy I'm not sure exactly where you live, I'm guessing Flagstaff or it's vicinity.

My wife and I have been wondering how flagstaff has survived for the past 5 years without any real snowfall. I know it really blooms when snowbowl opens and skiers flock to flagstaff, but with such little snowfall I would expect snow related businesses to have gone bankrupt a few years ago. As far as the Pilot, I would like to try it on snowy roads, but it might be a while before it happens.

Here in Phoenix we haven't had a good monsoon for about 5 years, just like the lack of snowfall in Flagstaff. Sure we occasionally will have a decent storm pass through, but not like it used to be. I've noticed all the outlying lakes have been drying up. (My wife and I enjoy fishing and camping at hese lakes.) I've been here since 1985 and have seen some really hard rain here, but lately nothing.

I hope it's just a cycle and we are just in the low end of it. It's sad to see the forests drying up and the lakes evaporating.

We're up in Prescott, not Flag. Same difference though. :) Lots of pine trees - lots of dry scrub.

Its as dry as a bone up here and that's quite unusual. I haven't been fishing or camping at all this year. Breaks my heart. The fire we had earlier this year up here really threatened to rip apart Prescott and was only a mile from the city.

FIRST ANNUAL ARIZONA PILOT OWNERS MEET

SO ... we need to plan our FIRST ANNUAL ARIZONA PILOT OWNERS MEET.

Where?
When?
Who?

Give me your thoughts. Might be fun to meet somewhere beautiful (like Sedona) so that we can take pictures of our fantastic Pilots against a fantastic-looking backdrop. :)

Whatchathink?

Yes, Sedona is a great idea. We could do 89A up to flag and then 17 back down.

Sounds GREAT!!!

Can't you just "see" it -- THREE, count 'em, THREE Sandstone Metallic Pilots sitting in front of Bell Rock.

When and where?
