I just blackened the horizontal chrome on my Pilot's front grill. I felt there was a bit too much chrome on the 2012 front grills. Fun Saturday project.

The previous posts on how to do this with PlastiDip on Piloteers.org showed me how it would look and how to do it. Great posts. Thanks. I also followed the directions of the guy on YouTube who does chrome emblems and trim. I'm pretty happy with how it came out.

Looks Good! I have been thinking about using the "Smoke" Plasti Dip to get a satin/brushed aluminum look.

Any thoughts?

Looks nice, though I would prefer to go with a 'black chrome' look instead. I am considering using DupliColor Shadow for it. Going to get to it when the weather goes back to nice and warm.

I vinyl wrapped my grill awhile back. I think it turned out nice. Yours turned out nice as well.

That's look sick Honda_Boy83! I just got my 2013 touring in White as well and have been thinking about doing exactly what you did. Where did you get the vinyl?? Was it easy?

I got it from these guys' Ebay store Auto Vinyl Solutions It was pretty easy I took each bar off and then wrapped it. It took me about 1 hour or so. If you undue the top clips on the grill under the hood you are able to pull the grill forward and then you can take a short screwdriver to unscrew each chrome bar.

Thank you! I agree it looks much better. I can't stand seeing the chrome grill anymore.

The black wrap on the white looks the best. If you wrap the front you have more choices, auto vinyl solutions also sells a dark/black carbon fiber vinyl that would look good.

Thank you. I got my black from Auto Vinyl Solutions, they have a lot of different options to chose from.
