I drove the outgoing generation, just once three years ago. It was a rental that I drove from SC to Mass in my normal day trip. Its a decent ride, nice seat comfort, controls a big old fashioned but functional. And frankly I don't know why people go schoolyard bully on CVT. 99.99% of all people have no clue and care less that its a CVT versus traditional. They just want it to work.As a Nissan fan and two time Pathfinder owner I am happy to see them return to better styling and a traditional transmission. I know the early Murano V6s had a lot of CVT failures but I haven't heard a ton with the Pathfinder/CVT combo. It must hold up OK.
