Just noticed as my wife pulled in to the driveway what looks to be oil leaking from the underside of my 2015 Pilot. Snapped a pic because it wasn't coming from where I would expect, but there was a significant drip as she pulled in. Thoughts? Advice on how to fix?
That’s the compliance bushing. Which can be replaced by itself by taking out the lower control arm. But if I were taking out the entire lower control arm, I’d just replace the lower control arm entirely
Haha, thank you! Benefits of living in the south I suppose... transplant from the north where the salt isn't kind. Car has been solid and other than tires and maintenance, I haven't had any issues with it.
And because of how clean that car is all of the bolts will likely come out without much fuss. Lucky. Salt welded suspension bolts have a tendency to make jobs take twice as long as necessary - at this point I just put the car on stands and spray the bolts 5 or 6 times with penetrant for a few days before doing the work. We have the luxury of a spare vehicle.
