I’ve got a spare set of Hesco L210 special threat plates. Size small (10.25” x 9.75”) They will stop 6 rounds of 5.56, and 7.62/39, 6 hits of 5.56 M193, or 3 hits of 5.56 M855 steel core, and 1 hit of light armor piercing 7.62. Each plate weighs 5.4 pounds and is .59” thick. Bought for $370 6 months ago. I didn’t know if this was allowed to be posted in classifieds because it’s not Pilot related so I threw it in here.

I've always wondered the story behind your screen name.
Now I wonder even more about how you were using those 'plates'?
You could PM the answers if you like, and GLWS!

PS- I am a Concealed Carry Permit holder and gun owner.

Haha funny story actually! Islet is a reference to the cells in your pancreas that produce insulin. And I have been a type 1 diabetic since I was a year old. Hence Depleted Islet. 🤘🏻🤘🏻 I bought these plates for my plate carrier, realized they were too small. So I bought a larger size, now I don’t need these. And bullet proof plates are a safety item much like safety glasses. I don’t ever plan on using them, but if shit hits the fan I’ll be prepared! I’m also a concealed carry gun owner. I have an AR as well.

I am a medical professional, an APP, I am a PA-C.
I never would have guessed that when I read depleted islet.

As you probably know, it's 'Islets of Langerhans' cells.

Witty screen name to say the least!

Haha well thank you! I get comments on it a lot. It’s also what I use for my Xbox tag.

I was about to suggest we nickname him "Langerhans," but you beat me to it. :)
