Be aware that the in-dash six disc CD player will only work in an LX; the EX model must use the underseat player.

Sony CD

Can the Sony CD player be controlled with the EX Pilot's stock head unit? (...model number?)

Thanks

Sony

tim s.,

The Sony would work in the Pilot; however, I don't think that an interface adapter is available for Plug & Play. I know that the Alpine, Kenwood, Sanyo & Audiovox interfaces are available @ http://www.pie.net/sec12sb1e.htm.

If you installed a Sony CDX-555RF, CDX-454RF or CDX-565MXRF CD Changer, it would have to be operated by RF Modulation. These units do not have a Unilink connection, so they cannot be controlled by Sony CD changer controllers. The outputs of these units are only RF, so they must be used with an FM tuner.

If a Sony Changer has RCA Outputs, you can purchase the HON-AUX with the 14-Pin data port at headunit attachment from Pie @ http://www.pie.net/sec12sb1n.htm. The Changer would have to be wired for power and ground separately, and the Changer would still have to be controlled by the Sony Control/Display unit.
