Does anyone know if playing DVDs for audio only while RES screen is in up position will cause any problem? I would like to listen to movies while driving. Thanks from a new member and proud owner of a 2004 EX/L-RES Pilot owner.

RJenks: This would be the equivalent of playing a disc in your Zenith DVD player with the audio output going to your Sony receiver (which is turned on and connected to your Bose speakers) and the video output heading to your Toshiba TV which is turned off... :)

...in other words, it shouldn't be a problem!!!

I don't see any problem at all, as a matter of fact I believed the once the screen is up it is also off, may be the signal send to the screen, but if it is up it is off or you can turn off the screen by pressing DVD twice than you'll see PLAY DVD on other console, and that just only for DVD-Audio there are no signal to the screen. I play more DVD Audio than CD I have.
