I know they have it for the 2022 but dont see an option for the 2023 online. Wondering if anyone else here solved this issue..
Or just don't hit the brake fully at the stop light. Or turn the steering wheel apparently. I thought I would hate it, and I often do turn it off, but when I forget and it does activate it's not that big a deal to me.Sorry, I misunderstood the question then. Yes, there's a button to turn it off on the center console next to the hill descent button.
I can't imagine "can't turn it off" is an option. You can’t turn it off in the 2023?
As long as it actually works, which was very much not the case in my 2017 Touring, I have no issue with it. I did think it was kind of hilarious that I got a warranty extension notice literally days after I traded it for my 2023. Specifically, it was a total crapshoot whether it would actually start back up; it would most often try, fail, and I'd have to do a crazy dance of shifting it into neutral, then park, then hitting the "start" button and hope that worked while the people behind me very understandably expressed their dissatisfaction with the situation. I first assumed it was the batter. It was not.Or just don't hit the brake fully at the stop light. Or turn the steering wheel apparently. Wow that sounds crazy. No this one works fine. Often I just forget to press the button and when it shuts off at the first stoplight the restart is so quiet that I have a little mental dance of why should I even disable it. But then again, the dealer told me over and over that there was nothing they could do about it so I'm not sure what good a warranty extension (as opposed to a recall) would've done me anyway. I was so glad the Idlestopper existed; it made my life a lot less fraught because I would occasionally forget to press the disable button and it was such a sinking feeling every time I did that and heard the engine shut off. 😬
Yep, it's a small sample size since I've only had it for a few weeks but it's been fine so far. Then again, it was fine in my 2017 at first, too.Wow that sounds crazy. No this one works fine. I drive it in eco or normalDoes putting in sport mode stop the idle auto stop. Thought another person mentioned that on Reddit.
Yes it does. So you have lots of choices to avoid it.Does putting in sport mode stop the idle auto stop. Thought another person mentioned that on Reddit.
If a hurricane takes off the roof you would go to the one bedroom that doesn’t leak water for ten years and think there’s nothing wrong.Yes it does. So you have lots of choices to avoid it.
Whaaaaa? If a hurricane takes off the roof you would go to the one bedroom that doesn’t leak water for ten years and think there’s nothing wrong.
the rest of us see the reality. I was asking about auto stop and you tell me to put it in sport mode. Stop taking drugs dude. This kind of brain damage can be life long. Get out while or if you can.
You think this is a non issue?Whaaaaa?
I didn't tell you to do anything. I had noted earlier and also answered the persons question above that Sport mode turns off the Idle Stop. Or as we also established you can take one of your ten fingers and press the button on the console to turn it off for your trip. Or you can come to a stop without pressing the brake too hard. Or if it does happen to stop the engine because you forgot to do one of the above then you can lift pressure on the brake pedal or move the steering wheel and it will start and then presumably that will jog your memory to then press the button to turn it off for the duration of that trip.
Or you can hyperfocus on this non-issue and try to install things into your wiring etc to substitute that button press (if or when they become available) if the button press is such a challenge for you.
I don’t know how to help with your confusion. Maybe take a step back and think it over until it clicks?I'm confused here. Can you explain how hitting one button to disable the auto start/stop is chaos?

you think every thing is a non issue buddy. Some people here have standards. It’s alright if you’re fine with chaos. I’m not.

I think I'm trying to say that you aren't that bright and I would like to get a view on matters like this form someone more educated. You seem to be going on all of the question forums here and spewing the first nonsensical thing that comes to mind. When one has a bright mind, the first thing that comes to mind is worth reading, but you need to be bright, Hogan. If you can please stop replying to my posts, thank you. I would rather listen to birds chrip than read what you have to say.Blair I think he is trolling us
Hey Chaos Man Dan.... apparently you will only be driving USED CARS of an older vintage since all new cars have that engine idle stop as far as I know. Also maybe you should jump on the protest march to support armrests too!
