('19 EX-L) When ACC is activated and the car has to slow down to maintain the set distance from the vehicle in front, there's a soft low whirring sound from the car. Is that normal? The brakes don't make any unusual noises when I just depress the pedal normally, only in ACC automated slowing. (Have not experienced the collision mitigation braking to compare, and I don't think I'll try that out voluntarily : )

Not to worry. Totally normal. Whatever compresses the brakes makes that noise. It happens on my 2018 and on my wife's car with ACC as well.

Yeah, I also was gonna say mine makes a slight noise, probably a pump or something that has to do the work your foot normally does on the brake pedal...
