Looks like the same powertrain as in the 2022 Acura MDX Type S.

I LOVE the new TLX. It's the best Acura since the iconic TL Type S, all they need is to bring back a 6 speed manual and the waffle weave wheels. I am unabashedly a Honda fanboy and this car (and the Accord 6-6 Sedan of the same vintage) have been some of my favorite all-time cars. Back when family sedans could be had as excellent sport sedans: Accord 6-6, Altima SE-R, Mazdaspeed 6 (maybe a little more hardcore), etc.

I'll probably get hatemail for this, but when he lowered it, my first thought was, "...cool looking mini van." (oxymoron, I know)

As a currently owner of 2008 Type S with 370,000 miles. I want one!

354 ft lbs of TQ on a twin turbo V6? My 'ol 2001 4.7L V8 (naturally aspirated, basically stock) puts out that much TQ!
(300 at the rear wheels)
But... does it have VCM? Funny... but very serious question.

That would be the end of thinking about this vehicle.

Not going to lie, one of my concerns with the new MDX is vcm and if the “old tricks” would continue to work.

I was really wanting one to go with my CL Type S, but 355 isn't enough. Should have been over 400 to make waves.

Surprising that the horsepower isn't at least 365 to match the Kia Stinger/Genesis G70.
Then there's the Infiniti Q50 RED SPORT 400 AWD with - wait for it - 400 hp.

I did post this to talk more about the fact that it has a "Turbo" on a Honda V6. The video might pull you in, but after it you buy it, try it, you might figure that the $50k could have been better spent elsewhere. I'm not saying it isn't a nice car, but if you want acceleration, you could buy a Tesla.
The TLX is supposed to be a totally different car than the one it replaces. I was not impressed at all by the 2019, even in A spec form.

Try closer to $60k by the time you're out the door. I've bought houses for less than that. And although they weren't pretty, they still looked better than this. I wonder what they call that color ... Baby Diaper Diarrhea? VCM on a turbo six ... yes I would buy this for the great gas mileage. I wonder if the turbo super packs the running three cylinders so the engine really vibrates. Nah ...it probably kicks in and out with VCM making the transition even more impressive to the mounts and tranny. If you disable VCM, I wonder what effect that would have on when the turbo kicks in or out....?

VCM on a turbo six ... yeah, that makes perfect sense.
Not likely an Eco button on the dash either. smirk

I'm guessing it probably doesn't run on $2 regular gas either. Of course, if you have (or want to borrow) $60k for a car, the price of fuel probably doesn't matter. Collision and comprehensive insurance premiums might though. And those speeding tickets and reckless driving poins do pile onto the cost as well.

ugh... the eco button, worst marketing gimmick ever. I've tried to use it multiple times and it ruins how the engine performs while making my average fuel economy go down, amazing

And those speeding tickets
only if they catch you !
