windshield cover

Don't know where to ask this so I'll ask here:

I no longer have a garage at my current home. I'm looking for an exterior windshield cover to lessen the time I'll spend scraping/brushing snow/ice off the windshield. (We tend to get a little snow in the Buffalo, NY area!!) Need something that won't scratch the windshield or paint and not blow off. trying to stay away from a blue tarp with bricks holding it down. Maybe my last car but not my new Pilot. May get the engine block heater too so when I remove the cover I'll trip over the extension cord thus not driving off without unplugging the heater!.

I've tried buying cars at Barry's twice and have been less than impressed. YMMV...
