Hi Everyone,

Has anyone had this done or know of a way to do this yourself?
If you had the dealer do it, how much?
if you did how ? My understanding is that the new refrigerant is 1234yf. Im used to using R134A, but have heard that the new 1234yf requires some sort of certification to purchase?? And why the hell is this new refrigerant 4-5x the cost of the old r134A??

I am now at roughly 68k miles on my 2016 Pilot and in CA. I know winter is around the corner but I would like to do this fix myself but now I am debating if its even worth the hassle.

And yes my car doesnt cool as well as it used to, we have had some very hot days here in CA.

Thanks for the input if any.

I suggest you find out why you lost refrigerant (leaking seal, etc) in the first place, before you refill.

A/C refrigerant just doesn't disappear / evaporate.
