I, like many others I'm sure, would think that the colors that are used on the Pilot are the same as their counter-parts on the MDX and Ody with the same name.
NOT SO!!!
Here is what I found:
1. The Fern on the Pilot is more like Light Grey, the Grey is more like dark grey. This is the opposite of the Ody. On the Ody, the Fern is dark grey and the Quartz is lighter.
2. Evergreen Pearl on the Pilot is no where near the same color as EP on the MDX or Ody. If you remember Aztec Green that was used on the civics a few years ago, it is much closer to that. Is is NOT DARK GREEN. The brochure is completely misleading. If you have an Ody brochure, the EP in there is much closes to the EP on the Pilot.
3. The saddle interior is a tad darker than the saddle used in the MDX, and a bit more darker than the ivory used in the Ody. While the saddle leather used in the Pilot looks the same as the leather used in the MDX, the dash colors are a tad darker. I might call them camel instead of saddle.
4. The Grey in the Pilot used two colors of grey. The darker being almost black. At first, I thought it was black until I saw it in the sun. It's not black, but pretty close.
5. The Fern is a very nice shade of grey, and pretty light in color. I don't see even a touch of green as the name suggests.
6. Of the silver, black, white, redrock exteriors I saw, they do look the same as the ones used on the Ody and MDX.
I think these different colors with the same names are going to cause quite a bit of confusion later, especially if you have to have any body work done.
Of course YMMV, and I was viewing all of these vehicles in very bright AZ sun, so they may look different in other locations.
Hope this helps your decisions.
