Hello, i have a 2005 honda pilot lx, everytime i switch in defrosting mode my A/C always on and cant turn Off, is this automatic? Im afraid it might break the compressor because im on the heater and then A/C is on. Thanks for any advice.

It’s automatic and normal.

That's how defrost mode works. More than just blowing hot air at the window, the A/C serves to remove humidity.

This plus if you don't run the compressor in winter they fail early. They link the Defrost to A/C to make sure the compressor gets used in winter and therefore seals get lubed etc. to prevent failure.

Welcome to the forum fellow 2005 LX owner. There aren’t many of us around. As mentioned above it’s normal behavior. This is from the owners manual:
