Adapters for front speakers. Has anyone found an adapter compatible with front speaker mount holes? Went to put in 6.5s but still to big in stock mounts with back cut out. Most adapters don't match the holes. Speakers are SKAR tx65

You might have a better chance of getting a good response, including from resident audio guru @scorrpio, in the Audio & Electronics subforum.

If your Pilot is 2003-2008, Crutchfield has following install guidelines:
Installation notes:
  • You'll have to cut out the back of the plastic cup or mounting bracket in this location to accommodate your new speakers.
  • The factory speaker is secured with three mounting screws. You'll need to drill new holes for any new speakers with four mounting tabs, or choose speakers with a 3-hole mounting option.
  • You'll need to remove the locating tabs from the factory speaker bracket before mounting an aftermarket speaker or bracket. This modification does not affect the bracket's structural integrity.
  • Use the factory speaker brackets.
  • Use the factory speaker grilles.
