Hi 2003 pilot exL
A year or two ago we took apart the ignition switch and brought it to a locksmith who replaced some tumblers or pieces that were worn inside.

Same key. Same lock. Same transponder.

Worked fine for a while then Progressively worse to getting totally stuck last few times.

Whats a better or cheaper fix now.
May be selling soon.

I remember people saying they're reprogramming new transponders for cheaper than the dealer?

What parts are being bought? New switch? Used switch?

What about some of those Amazon push button start kits to bypass it altogether?

Any help is appreciated!!!!

Thx

You might try cleaning it out with TriFlow Superior Lubricant. Put some on your key, insert, remove, and wipe. Repeat until the key comes out clean.

Also did you have a new key cut when the locksmith replaced the tumblers? I wonder if the worn down key is causing issues.

Happened to our 06 Odyssey and they said do not use the worn key. I used it and had issues. So I went back to using the new aftermarket key.

We had our tumblers fixed 2 different times, the first key was worn down, but the second was a brand new cut key. Happened in the span of about 6 years.
