When I go to purchase this Rear Blower Transistor Resistor 79330-S3V-A51 on eBay or Amazon, and I select Ex-L, I get the message that this part is not compatible with my vehicle. If I select EX, it is compatible.

Can anyone tell me what part is compatible with my 2004 Honda Pilot EX-L 3.5L?

It should be fine. Nothing changes between EX and EX-L other than leather (there are other things but not many differences).

Vacuum the rear blower circular filter screen while you’re in there. Chances are the transistor module failed due to lack of airflow since the filter screen is clogged with lint.

Okay. Got my Rear A/C Resistor/Transistor in the mail today. Changed cabin air filter. Vacuumed blower intake screen. Installed the transistor and... SUCCESS! Rear A/C is working.

Woohoo!

Post a link to where you finally ordered it from. Others may want to follow your path to success.
