Hi all -

I recently upgraded from stock 235/70/16 to 245/70/16. Plan was to go even bigger to 255/70/16 but it rubbed on turns. Definitely should upgrade to 245/70/16 if you want to fill that wheel well.

Got General grabber AT/2. Very husky looking tires on these pilots and wanted to let anyone who maybe looking to upsize the wheels that 245/70/16 is about the maximum you should go.

245/75/16 will rub and 255/70/16 will rub as well, especially if you are going for thick tire treads (like mine). Any ways, pics attached. both old and new.:smile:

I have upgraded plus one with my 245/70/16 Bridgestone after my integrity wear out.

Why are wider heavier tires necessarily an "upgrade?"

When I got my pilot back in 2003, I thought the mileage was running faster. Looking at plus one size where there is less revolutions per mile, I think that became acceptable for me. The tires duelers also lasted longer at 70k-80k miles with 7/32 thread left.

This is good to know. I have a 2005 and I'll be buying new tires soon.

Thanks for the feedback
