I’m not the most mechanically inclined but there is no way I was paying the dealership 150.00 to change the differential fluid.
Picked up the fluids and washers from dealership.

I wiped the drain plug off and this is what I saw, pic attached, is this normal or should I take it to the dealership?
No Visible metal shaving etc, looks and feels like clutch dust.
Probably normal. I think my MM had rear diff change at like 10k. Most said it was to get rid of all that initial wear in stuff. Easy to change and not that expensive if you want to do it again soon and check again.
did you check with finger to see how far down? might be right at the edge just not quite running out. Some have reported needing slightly more, some less. It depends how long you let it drip and if vehicle was perfectly flat like on a lift. Any slight pitch could change that also.
