I’m not the most mechanically inclined but there is no way I was paying the dealership 150.00 to change the differential fluid.
Picked up the fluids and washers from dealership.

I wiped the drain plug off and this is what I saw, pic attached, is this normal or should I take it to the dealership?

No Visible metal shaving etc, looks and feels like clutch dust.

Probably normal. I think my MM had rear diff change at like 10k. Most said it was to get rid of all that initial wear in stuff. Easy to change and not that expensive if you want to do it again soon and check again.

did you check with finger to see how far down? might be right at the edge just not quite running out. Some have reported needing slightly more, some less. It depends how long you let it drip and if vehicle was perfectly flat like on a lift. Any slight pitch could change that also.

I would be more worried if there was nothing on the magnet. it's definitely doing its job. it is put there because the unit will cause wear material especially during break in period. good job being proactive and following the scheduled service!

Looks like you stopped at step 5. After air bleeding it will take more than 2 US quarts.

1. Remove the filler plug (A) and the sealing washer (B).
2. Remove the drain plug (C) and the sealing washer (D),
then drain the rear differential fluid.
3. Remove the metal particles from the magnetic surface of
the drain plug.
4. Install the drain plug with a new sealing washer.
5. Refill the rear differential with rear differential fluid to the
proper level (E).
Fluid Capacity:
1.82 L (1.92 US qt) at fluid change
2.33 L (2.46 US qt) at overhaul
Recommended fluid: Honda DPSFII
6. Loosely install the filler plug with the used sealing washer.
7. Do the rear differential fluid air bleeding.
Start the engine.
Shift the transmission to P position/mode.
Wait for 1 minute.
8. Turn the engine off.
9. Remove the filler plug and the sealing washer.
10. Refill the rear differential with rear differential fluid to the
proper level.
11. Install the filler plug with a new sealing washer
