What do you guys think? I think with everyone going to the swoopy fastback style sedan that the 2011 Sonata pioneered it is really refreshing to see a really clean, not busy with lines all over the place, formal sedan make a return. I think it is quite a good looking car that looks like it should cost more than it will. I think the Sport model wheels are similar to the old TL-S waffle weaves, which I am quite fond of. And the interior I also find to be quite attractive, again showing that a clean design can look much better than an overly busy design.
My biggest disappointment, though it should come as no surprise with Honda recently axing it from the Accord as well, the manual is dead in the mainstream models. Nothing official on Si and Type R models yet, but I hope at least they retain a manual transmission.

Who would argue with those? Other great Hondas include any Accord V6 6 speed manual, particularly the 7th gen sedan, the CL-S and TL-S, the TL SH-AWD 6MT, the S2000 and my favorite oddball, the ZDX. Oh yes, I quite like the ZDX.
Personally I preferred the way my '61 Impala stopped with unassisted, single pot master cylinder drum brakes all around over the dual reservoir master cylinder, vacuum boosted front disc conversion. It may have more overall stopping power and better fade but it feels so artificial now.It's the styling, man, the styling.That and the color.
BTW, my '64 Plymouth Valiant had drum brakes all around.
According to the press release, all of these models (the LX through Touring) will get the CVT. No manual on "regular" Civics anymore.
Ok, the Si has officially been released now. I can say I love the styling, I think it plays a great middleground mature style vs. the bewinged Type R. I am more than a little disappointed the power isn't in the 230-250 range, I guess the L15 just can't make that kind of power.
I prefer driving a car for daily driving and driving a light, tossable car with decent power and a great manual was so much fun. If I could impulse buy and not worry about reporting to the wife I'd likely be getting one of these.

That engine will likely cost more than the Si... not to mention having a frame, suspension, brakes, transmission, driveshaft, rear diff, halfshafts, hubs, etc. that can actually handle that kind of number. Say you picked some worthless car or truck, less than $5k. Probably looking at another $50k or more to make the vehicle actually be able to do anything other than act as a run stand for that monstrosity.I want a vehicle with this engine in it:

That said, I'd love to have it! Displacement over boost has always worked in my book.
