That is definitely high - get more quotes.

Only fees you should be paying are destination, sales tax, doc fee, tire disposal, and inspection that I’m aware of
Thank you for your reply
I mean realistically, how much i should really be aiming for ? How much off msrp? I kept asking $36k (before my taxes but all other fees incl) for an exl awd 2021 or $37k for an SE and all dealers are just telling me good luck .

FWIW just got a 2021 EXL 2 WD (White Exterior) yesterday from Honda of Tomball TX.

List Price was 40,230 (with destination)

Sales Price of $33,246
Destination $1120
Sales Tax $2,220.60
Fees $353
OTD with that of $36,939

With the trade in of my 2010 Honda Pilot which I got $7500 for I owed $28,828 on the deal.

Other dealers in the area weren't budging on the sales price (one flat out did a bait and switch from the price they emailed back to me). All except where I purchased from wanted money for the 'dealer accessory package' and weren't budging on that as well.

will you please send me a supporting document? I am trying to get the same deal from them but won't get it unless I can provide them with a proof.

you got ripped off.
What a great way to start on a forum he just joined less than 4 hours before making this post! :poop:

He has no clue what additional items may have been added on, any service or warranty products purchased, any trade in with perhaps negative equity, or other factors of the sale. It sounds like he can't even get a dealer to match another price someone else posted.

how did you get 6k off msrp? Is that right? That seems like a good price to me.

Given the fact that it's a seller's market right now, it definitely is.

On an unrelated note, most insurance companies replace windshields for low/no deductible, so I was surprised to see "windshield warranty". Is this a new thing?

I quoted multiple deals via TrueCar first, and let them start the bidding war - I spent a day navigating through 5+ dealers :) Ended up purchasing from Autonation Renton who jumped in with the final offer; before that Marysville Honda gave $41,1XX but they had a slight tax advantage.

Yeah I didn’t know that exists before financing guy presented it to me. Having replaced 2 windshields in 4.5 yrs for my 16 Pilot Touring (which sadly was totaled so we had to buy another), I figured it might work out in my case - buying 0-deductible glass coverage will cost more over 7yrs.

I've been trying to get an Elite for around 41,000 before TTL, or a Black Edition for $42,500 before TTL based on the data I have seen in this thread. Everyone I have talked to looks at me like I have 3 eyes. Seems like the best I'm able to get is around $46,500 on a Black Edition and $45,000 and an Elite. How have those of you that did better managing to do it?
That sounds about right. What we bought was about that-the higher price - when we factor in the amount they gave us for our trade in (about 2k more than it was worth for trade in).

I bought my wife a Black Edition Monday

MSRP $51,040
Sale Price $44,360
LA Sales Tax $2825.98
Fees $445.50
OTD before Trade $47,630.98
Trade in -$17,000

Dealership was Richards Honda in Baton Rouge. This is the 5th Honda I have purchased from them. I financed through Honda for the .09%. I had the financing approved through Honda before I went to the dealership. I also had another quote from a local dealership for $45,600 before TTL to use as leverage.
