Bought a 2021 Pilot and less than 2,000 miles had AWD issues and now transfer case seal is leaking. Anyone else having similar issues?

Dealer said solenoid had to be changed to fix AWD issue but didn’t elaborate on seal leaking. They agreed to fix as it is covered under warranty liked you mentioned. I crawled underneath to investigate and didn’t notice any scuff marks or markings.

One of the seals on the transfer case of my 2020 Pilot EX was leaking at around 2,000 miles as well. It was leaking some clear fluid that I could not pinpoint. Apparently the t-case has its own fluid separate from the transmission. I had to take it the dealer twice before they fixed it. The first time they said the fluid covering the frame below the t-case was just leftover from assembly... yeah that wasn't it. They replaced the seals and I've had no problems in the ~24k miles since then.

Just to be clear - this was the transfer case attached to the transmission, not the rear differential.

Same thing. Mine started somewhere around 2k miles and they tried to tell me it was the assembly oil. Took it back a second time and they said it was transfer case seal leaking. I put mine in the shop on the 14th so I will let you know how it ends up.

Update. Had seals on transfer case replaced last week and issue is still there. Taking back in for a third time to try and get issue/leak fixed. Putting more miles on Pilot going back and forth to dealer than anything else. Very frustrating when buying a new vehicle. Doesn’t seem Honda’s are as reliable as they used to be.

My 2021 Honda pilot awd started leaking at about 5000 miles. I'm at the Honda dealer now where I was just told the oil leaking is from the transfer case. They have to order the part for later repair. I was told I could drive it until then. As I wait for my car I'm searching for Honda awd transfer case leaking. Looks like Honda dealers repair should stock that part.

I had the transfer case leak fixed and now I am on my second oil pan seal replacement. I recently sent a demand letter to corporate and they are giving me the run around now. I have spent more time in the shop with this Pilot than I have ever with any other Honda that I have owned in the last 25 years. Honda’s quality has sure went downhill in the last few years. I think it is time for me and my family to move on from Honda and find another RELIABLE manufacture.
