My wifes 2018 Honda Pilot has been making this chirping noise. When it was brand new (warmer weather?) you really had to listen to it to hear the noise. Its much louder now (getting colder) I recorded the below audio file from my phone while sitting idle in drive with the heat\air off in the drivers seat. It makes the noise more when the engine is cooler. Typically when I am stopped at a light I hear it the most but have heard it at times up to 10 mph.

Took it to the dealership and the replaced the tensioner and belt. That didn't fix it. Its in the shop again and now they are ordering a "rear mount"

I'm pretty sure I have this too but it's not as strong and loud as yours. But mine is the climate fan. You can actually hear it come to a slow and stop when you turn the climate off. It's coming from the passenger side

I was supposed to get a rear mount replaced for the chirping but Honda called and said a previous client’s car noise returned after a few days after mount replaced so I need to wait till they call out a Honda rep to investigate.
Been waiting since October to resolve this! Clearly a defect in all the new Pilots!

several people have complained about this chrip, there is a tsb on a similar noise. its annoying, but the tsb and other threads indicate it wont harm anything--assuming its same issue.

i have it too. havnt had time to have honda look.

does yours still make the sound when you put it in idle?

Did Honda ever fix this? My 2018 is doing the exact same thing and they can’t figure it out.
My wife's '18 Touring AWD has the same noise. Sounds like it's coming from the HVAC vent. It's not the fan, turning the HVAC off has no effect.
However, shifting to neutral makes it go away. Put it back in gear and the noise returns.

Also have a 2018 Pilot and same problem. Can hear a noise while idling. Put car in neutral or park and goes away. Returns in reverse or in drive. Noticeable while driving at slower speeds and particularly noticeable over bumps. Dealership has occasionally acknowledged sound and occasionally thought I was crazy without saying so. Today, they spent 3 hours on it and best they could come up with is to re-align left roof rack. I laughed when they told me what they did and sure enough problem wasn't solved. Sound is coming from lower down, not roof area. Seems to be under dash or under hood. Something seems loose. Just wondering if you ever got this resolved.

I had the exact same issue with my 2016 and it happened when the engine was cold and for the first 10 minutes. after 6 visits to the dealership and them replacing the drive belt and pully several times, they finally figured it out and added a shim to the pulley and its now over a year and no issues

i haven’t noticed the chirping on my 19 touring now that the temperature has gone down but it was really annoying before that I brought it to the dealership. However the mechanic said that american honda is still working on a fix. Should have brought a printout of the tsb on the high pressure fuel pump which I’m going to do on my next visit.

Yes, I have the same issue. Honda said they found the problem. It was a bad engine mount and they have replaced it. I'm hoping that resolved the issue. I'm picking up my car today.

They eventually did fix our issue. Replacing the all the engine mounts, one twice, the tension pully and belt. Since then that issue has been resolved for about a year now.....Now I am dealing the the auto stop leaving my wife stranded..... I think this stupid car has been in the dealerships lot for a total of 45 days while they troubleshoot and replace things between the two issues. Hopefully you have better luck. In the end the motor mounts were the final resolution so keep pushing that if they have not replaced them all.

My wife's 2018 has had the noise for two years. It's had four fuel pumps, two sets of engine mounts, and an idler. The dealer is getting contentious, they have said "we are chasing a noise" and that they've not had any problems with other Pilots. I am a mechanic. 99 percent of my job is "chasing a noise". Poor engineering and poor dealer support equal loss of customer confidence. We are seriously considering using the Lemon Law here and making them buy the vehicle back.
