Good morning everyone,
I have been dealing with a wierd issue on my 2017 pilot touring (68k miles). My alarm keeps going off. Initially i read that it could be related to a weak battery and i reolaced the battery but it didnt resolve the issue. I have sat in the car witj the alarm engaged and randomly the dash lights up, head lights and interior lights come on and eventually the alarm sets off. I also read that it could be the hood sensor and have cleaned the hood latch area with a degreaser but that didnt help either. I have taken it to a few shops and nobody seems to be able to figure out, im having to leave the keys in the car (while in the garage at home so the alarm doesn't go off 2-3 times a night.

Just to share. I had the same issue. In fact, the video in the earlier post was the same thing I saw on my 2016 with 60K miles. I did some research and decided to replace the start stop button. Literally took 10 minutes to replace. I ordered from Rock Auto. I believe the brand was Intermotor. Interestingly enough, the part number labeled on the replacement part matched the one I pulled out. In any case, my problem was very random and occurred several times a day/night (alarm, dash lights, relay sounds in dash, interior lights coming on). Since I replaced the start stop button, I have not had an issue. It has only been two days but my problem went away immediately. Will re-post if issue comes back.

Having same issue. People in this forum are saying it is the power control module
Part #38320-TG7-A52 which is located on top of glove compartment and hard to get to.
Hondapartsguy.com sells them for $294.95 which is a lot less than dealer but after install new keys need to be reprogrammed by dealer. Taking mine in tomorrow and getting a quote for it all.

HI- Have you had any more problems after replacing the start stop button? My 2017 Pilot is doing the same exact thing. Horn alarm goes off randomly when locked and head lights and interior lights go on an off when turned to Auto on the over head button is on. I have to leave the car unlocked and lights turned off at the switches so nothing goes off. I do hear clicking sometimes when walking by it. I had the battery tested and it was almost perfect and replaced both key fob batteries and it still has the same issues.

GREAT NEWS!!!!!!!
The parts you want to replace is called "OEM Anti-theft Locking Smart Control Module Honda Pilot 2016-18 / 38320-TG7-A420" or [access control unit] and the push button start. These parts are on serious back order so I suggest you go to ebay. You can get one from any honda pilot 2016-2021. I've had the truck back for about 5days and no alarms or nothing. I hope this helps you.

well guys you have to have a scan tool and check the history in the security module and it will tell you what cause the alarm to go off, mostly likely its the drivers door lock knob switch or the hood switch or the in bed trunk lid latch switch.

Hi there i too have the same problem where my dash board is glitching and alarm going off in randomly what i did was disable the hood latch sensor which disable the alarm going off but now if someone were to break into my car i would not know. i brought my 2016 Honda Pilot EXL with 47500 into Honda on 12-21-2022 and stated that i wanted to change the control unit which is right behind the glove box also the keys needs to be re-programed. In the invoice it says Anti Theft Lock Main Control Unit is what they listed for. while it was in their possession of course the car didn't glitch or alarm go off wow mind blowing lol. In the same day i got a call from the dealer stating that they had lost my key so lucky i have the spare key and drop that off. The next day while picking up my car i told them to waive the re-programming fee because they had lost my key so they waive the re-programming fee which save me $250. The part number for the module is 38320-TG7-A32 for the make and model for my car. All in all everything cost me just about $800, could of been $1000 if they didn't lose my keys. it's been a couple of days now and no glitching or alarm going off at the moment will update you guys if anything changes.

I started having this issue when at 2:00 am in the morning my alarm went off in my locked garage. Since then it keeps happening. I have a 2017 Honda Pilot with only 52k in mileage. I just took it to Honda and they told me the Keyless Access Control Module needs to e replaced. It will cost me almost $700 for the part which has a backlog of 2 weeks to get in. With labor we are talking over $1,000! Why is everyone else getting this done cheaper? Is this because I live in Florida? I am so sick of living in this costly state!

A friend of mine lives in PA and he have a 2017 EXL like me, same thing happend to him and dealer wanted about 1000, he end up getting the part from Hondapartsnow 38320-TG7-A32 and did it himself and had some mobile car guru did the re-programming for him and charged him 250. you might want to check your local ad and see how much they charge for the programming of key fob.

I jist posted a You Tube video of what my Pilot did this morning. You would think it is possessed. Here is the link: https://YouTube.be/pmQigsl_EXk

If that does not work, go to YouTube and type in Honda Pilot is it Possessed?
