I have researched the radio tuners for the 2017 Honda Pilot Touring and the 2017 Honda Pilot Elite and have found they have 2 different part numbers. I suspect the Elite tuner has the HD Radio built into it. Is there anyone that can confirm the the HD Radio tuner resides in the XM tuner module? Here are the 2 part numbers: 39800-TG7-A02 (Touring) and 39800TG7A11 (Elite). It would also be nice to know if they are interchangeable without other parts or system changes. Trying to get HD Radio.

You are correct, the Elite’s tuner is a different part number due to HD radio most likely because HD radio has a wider FM bandwidth than analog radio. However, the signals are processed in the DSP which resides in the head unit. I suspect the HU part numbers are different and you would also need the Elite‘s HU to receive HD radio.
