Hi All,

I picked up a used 2017 EXL 35,000 miles and I have a question on shifting behavior that I’ve noticed and if it’s normal. What I’ve noticed is that when taking a corner from a stop the car is very quick to shift up and then when I complete making the turn it seems to make a quick downshift to “get going”. It does the same quick downshift when lightly increasing the throttle after shifting from 3rd to 4th. Not sure if I’m being overly critical but it is mildly annoying now that I’ve noticed it.

Yep, same here.

My daily driver is a V6 automatic 06 Tacoma with 200k miles. Night and day difference - it shifts smoother and holds a gear better than a 17 EX-L 6spd with 40k miles. It's a joke. I don't know if the problem lies in the electronics or what but it stinks and I don't like it.
