Good, bad , or Indifferent. BITOG had a bunch of members that did the Maxlife with a bottle Lubegard and were happy as it changed just enough on VI and added some protection. I haven't really heard many bad things on Lubegard and did see TSB's from some other manufacturer's to use it to fix (or maybe just hide) shifting issues. They have a chart on their website saying what to use.
That would be better than dumping a whole transmission full of MaxLife.

Many used the RED and said it helped a lot. The lubegard chart shows to use BLACK if using Dextron.Lubegard Black -Chart link is PDF.

Another option to try possibly is the BG Premium ATF if the Lubegard doesn't help you.

And you can order the Black or Red from Amazon Prime and have it Friday or from others cheaper in a week. Might find it local by you also (or in tranny shops).
