This has been happening for about a year now, and, of course, it started right after the warranty expired...

If I drive the vehicle with only the A/C running through the front vents, the rear portion of the center console gets somewhat warm and a slight amount of hot air blows from the center console vents for the second row seating. (I haven't checked the vents for the third row seats.)
If I turn on the rear A/C, the air is cool/cold, but I bet it's not a cold as it could be.
Has anyone else encountered this, and is there a fix?

sounds like you might have a blockage somewhere. The front seats and 2nd/3rd rows have separate systems and fans. There's a mesh grill over the fan intakes, which might be blocked for the rear fan, or something stuck in one of the tubes or a problem with the blend door. MIght need to do a bit of digging to narrow it down.
