Hi guys,

I was shopping for a more "off-road" friendly vehicle and not being satisfied with anything that could outright replace the Pilot, meaning I would need TWO SUV which is not something I would like to do....UNTIL I saw the 2019 Pilot Demo day videos show up on YouTube and realized, shoot maybe all I need are some all terrain tires for what I plan on doing. This led me down a rabbit trail of trying to also find out what is different from the 2016 Touring AWD I own vs the 2019 models plus 2019 Pilot Vs Passport....am I missing anything or essentially they are same AWD systems?

On a side note, I am having a hard time googling how Honda got the extra 0.8" lift on the Passport in case anyone knows. I am guessing shock/springs so will be considering that next if no one makes an aftermarket solution for shocks/springs. My Pilot has 60k miles and am guessing will need shocks soon anyways.

Currently the plan is likely to go the Jsport route with the 1.5" Leveling kit and their 18" wheel package. Later I may explore the 2" lift route but do not think I will need it. Shocks/Springs will be a consideration after the first step of mods.

No difference between the 2016 AWD and 2019 AWD. Except the 2019 AWD has an available torque vectoring display on the MID display.

Thanks, The Vectoring Display had me concerned there was a difference in the way it functioned. Would be nice to have that but I am not loosing sleep over it.
