I'm new here. Foolish of me to not join sooner. Anyway 2016 Honda Pilot EX-L 44k miles "Emissions System Problem". I live in California so lets see if the 7 Year / 70k miles warranty will be honored. Heading to the dealer soon. The injectors may be the reason I have experienced some slight (but noticeable if your paying attention) delays and lurches in acceleration.

Also anyone use GUM-Out multi System tune-up on a Honda Pilot? I have seen Sea Foam Motor Tuneup mentioned but not Gum Out. Its interesting this is my first Honda and I was excited to have such a rock solid car (by reputation). But I definitely noticed some creeks, lurches, now this emissions system problem, sun room sticking mulfunction, strange clicks when I back up, rear hatch groans and creeks when closing.

I guess its back to the old faithful brand for all the rest of the cars ever buy. It's tough because the interior design of this car is exceptional.

Just searching on this forum for fuel injector cleaners. If anyone is interested here is link below. After I verify the safety of these cleaners I think this may be something that needs to be done periodically for the life of this car. Also, I talked to my local mechanic and he said that they never use cleaners because the consequences of carbon moving around the fuel system may not be good. Anyway need to do more research on this and gather more research / user experiences.

Replaced Fuel Injectors

Just got my ODB code P219A fixed under warranty. They said the warranty for this was 50k (I had 44k on my car). It was fixed under TSB 20-100. It's a little strange that they said the warranty was 50k because this should be 7 year / 70,000 miles (for California emissions states). So that is a little red flag. Also, was shocked the dealer wanted to charge me $185 to read a code (which was later waived under the warranty). They replaced the injectors and pipes.
