I just bought a new mount for my phone ( It works well holding the phone, but I believe is causing some wierdness in the infotainment unit.

I had a different mount to hold my phone (Pixel 3 XL, which is connected via Bluetooth), but one of the arms got jammed and it broke. Both mounts do wireless charging through the USB ports on the dash.

The new mount was causing odd behavior, like someone was randomly pressing the buttons on the screen. Sometimes, the menu would show up. Sometimes, the brightness would change. Sometimes, the volume would change. Other times, the audio would shut off. This happened when I used either of the two USB ports below the AC controls.

I was able to prevent this by using a standard car socket-USB plug.

I didn't realize that any of this type of control was even possible.
