For a 2011 Honda Pilot, the capacity is 4.5 quarts, 0w20. I recommend full synthetic. No extended performance oil or blends.

Why not extended performance oils?

Extended Performance oils are known to evaporate more easily. These vapors end up in the catalytic converters aggravating an already problematic oil consumption problem these vehicles have, caused by an active VCM which more rapidly causes P0420 and P0430 emission codes.
I recommend disabling the VCM.
I use S-VCM.
