We bought a 2011 Pilot EX-L almost 2 months ago and just realized the air is only blowing out the front vents. We press the button to put on defrost, floor, etc and the air still only blows out the vents. Its going to be a problem soon with winter starting. Can anyone enlighten us as to what may be the problem and is it something I can fix without taking to a shop?
Thanks

Sounds like a bad mode motor. That's the motor that moves the damper arm between the 5 different airflow direction settings. Check out the repair manual for procedures to check it. This thread has good info on the replacement - Vent/air mode issues (Mix Motor?)The repair is doable and part is a little over $100. At the dealer it may run $300-350 with labor.

You could also run a diagnostic as detailed in the repair manual and see what codes come back just in case it is something else.
