Hello

I had my 2010 Pilot at the dealer last week for oil change and tire rotation, they mentioned that they are seeing 2010 Pilots with Spooler Valve's starting to leak and leaking on Alternators, therefore causing Spooler Valve and Alternator replacement.

There is 152,000 miles on the Pilot and these are the original Spooler Valve and Alternator.

Anyone have insight into this? 152k original SV and Alt good? Not sure how long they last.

Thanks
Bruce

If yours is leaking you should address now before it shorts out the alternator causing a more costly repair.

Autokay part# 15815-R70-A01 and 15845-R70-A01 ($20 shipped on amazon). Easy to replace.

Just had this exact repair done. Spool valve was leaking. Dripping onto alternator. Was making a whirring noise and smoke coming out. Had Spool valve gasket replace and new alternator installed. Tech said they are seeing this on 2010 pilots as well. I have 148300 miles. Hopefully this will take me to my goal of 300000 miles.
