I was on a mission to stop leaks on my Pilot. I did new valve cover gaskets, I adjusted the valves, and I changed the rubber gaskets in the VVT solenoid assembly with an aftermarket gasket (amazon).

The test drive went fine and everything felt normal until I got up to highway speed and the CEL started flashing and it was running rough. I got it home and ran the codes and this is what it read.

P0304 - Cylinder 4 misfire detected
P3497 - Cylinder deactivation system bank 2

I am assuming that the misfire was a result of the P3497. Does that sound right?

I am going to do an oil change and see if that will fix the issue.

You didn't loosen the lower half of the spool valve did you? Doing that without removing the rocker arms will lead to misfires.
