I’d like to remove the 3rd seat of my 2008 for camping. What’s the best way to do so? Thank you!!

I’m guessing you mean third row seat. Honestly I don’t think it will gain you much room removing it. Why not just fold it flat?

So what are you deciding? While they can be removed, I agree that there is usually little to be gained for that for most camping scenarios.

Here's what I did, and it suits us just fine for light camping or even the occasional heavenly roadside nap.

I have something much simpler and ad hoc, but it's comfy and quick, a pared down version of my '70s Dodge camping van of yore, featured in my signature. Bottom layer is thin spring mattress glommed from a hide-a-bed, and on top of that is a futon. Neither one alone was cushy enough for my old bones, but together it's the Goldilocks zone. Perfect for overnight trips, short camping or just nap heaven when you're on the road. Fits two; that is, when the dog isn't usurping it.
