2007 Pilot Windshield install gone wrong?

I just had my windshield replaced. I was told that this gap is normal because its not OEM glass and Trim. Its a PGW brand windshield that comes with its own attached molding. This just doesnt make sense to me. How can this be a correct install? I can put my finger in that gap/. Automotive parking light Automotive lighting Hood Motor vehicle Automotive tire

Well, you know what they say...you get what you pay for = always go with Genuine Honda Parts.

Take it back to the installer. That's no way to treat a customer. (n)

I would get it redone, and you might even need to go to another shop honestly. If they are not happy, who knows what they can do to cause further damage at that point. In my younger years I did something stupid on my Del Sol and paid dearly for it. The trim was missing when I got it, and instead of taking it to a shop I put my own trim on and caused water to pool and caused rust around the frame which led to a water leak and a shower every time it rained. Get it done right, and these guys are not going to get it done right.

safelite autoglass replaced the entire front glass on our 07 Pilot after a rock hit in the exact same spot as a previous repair, guy said it couldn't get repaired a 2nd time in the same location. Installation was top notch and looks great just like the original, holding up well also! paid the deductible for insurance and signed the paperwork!

don't settle for that low quality work... get it re-done or file a complaint with the BBB

Did Safelite install this? If so then you shouldn't have an issue, just have them redo it with a new tech and they will probably need a new install kit if they can salvage the glass. If you had it done by shop el cheapo mom and pop fly by the night outfit, then you are out of luck if they deny corrective repairs.
