I called and opened a case with Honda Customer Serevice. One rep gave me a case number and said Honda dealers should only use Honda OEM parts and she added my part numbers to the VIN and said a case manager would be assigned in 24 hours. . Called back next day to see if my case was assigned. Another Customer Service person reviewed my case, said no one was assigned yet and said she'd put the highest priority on my parts request as it was not done prior. Then I asked re dealers using non OEM Parts. She said Dealers should use HONDA OEM Parts and I should make the dealer pay for full repair with Honda parts and refund the whole service/parts charge. Next day I called again and my case was assigned. After a few more call backs I got to talk to my case manager. The rep started reading a script to me, which I interrupted often for clarification. 1) Parts are on backorder and high priority. No availability date, production schedule or delivery date. No CS Case Managers do not look into US Inventory, that's up to the dealers. Rep said Honda dealers dont have to use OEM parts. Honda dealers are independent agents and can use whatever parts they want. Is there anything else I can help you with?...
