I've just obtained an 03 Pilot from a trade. It's got about 226k miles, there's a bad noise coming from the rear right brakes so I know those need changed. But today I had just pulled into a parking lot, car was sitting in park at a normal idle, radio was on quietly and the a/c was running on low. I'm not sure how to describe the noise, it seemed too loud to be a pulley or belt, it just randomly started blaring a screech/beep/I don't even know kind of noise. I turned it off and restarted it, there was no more noise, no lights. Nothing. Could it be a fault with an accessory in the dash or should I be looking at something engine/charging related? I know it's a bad description, I just haven't run across this before.

Thank you for your time.

Hard to say without a video to hear it,

Maybe front blower motor? If it happens again, just turn the fan speed (only) up to see if there's any change.

Thank you, I'll definitely try that. I'll see if I can catch a video of it in the meantime. It's the first time I've had a vehicle do that.
